Silver Dollar Pancakes

What’s the difference between pancakes and silver dollar pancakes? Well nothing…silver dollar pancakes are just smaller, which make them perfect for tapas! Normally, pancakes are served at breakfast or brunch with syrup and other sweet toppings, but these silver dollar pancakes can serve as a delicious base for a number of savory tapas….like with cream cheese, salmon, and red peppers…YUMMY!

Silver Dollar Pancakes

Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 15 mins
Yields: 18-20


  • 1 cup of flour
  • 2 tablespoons of white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ¾ cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of melted, unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract [optional]


  1. In a small bowl, pour milk and lemon juice, and set aside to rest for 2 minutes.
  2. In a different small bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix the melted butter, egg and milk. Add flour. Do not over mix.
  4. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Coat the pan lightly with butter, and drop tablespoon-sized portions into the skillet
  5. Cook until bubbles appear and then pop, about 2 minutes. Flip and cook until golden brown on both sides
  6. Use a paper towel to clean the pan between batches.


Use a spoon to form even-sized pancakes!
